I saw some birds in the backyard and decided to break out the camera.

 

Eagles at the Confluence

April and I went out to the Confluence Conservatory to see the eagles. This is the confluence of the Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi Rivers. They nest there over the winter.

St Louis Union Station

For something to do we went to the new St Louis Union Station indoor facility. It was pretty nice. The kids tried the rope walk. I don't think Rachel liked it.

Christmas Eve Escape Room

The kids came to Illinois for Christmas  On Christmas eve we all did an escape room. Patrick insisted on doing the difficult room so we made maybe halfway before time ran out.

Hummingbird and a garden

 I went out to the sunroom and there was something flitting about outside. It took me a few seconds to realize it was a hummingbird. I only get a few seconds on video before it moved off.

April loves the raised garden beds and has challenged herself to grow something. It works pretty well. The strawberries did not produce any fruit, but I expected that. They sometimes don't the same year they are planted.

Tried to identify some of the plants.

The tomatoes did well.

The broccoli gave up one bloom.

St Louis Zoo
