Christmas at Rachel's Apartment

 This Christmas was in Ogden, Utah with my daughter Rachel. 

Snowfall

 

Finches at birdfeeder

 April bought a birdfeeder. I hung it up on the tree in the front yard. The finches love it, and we see a cardinal every day.

Thanksgiving was horrible

 We decided to travel to New Orleans Thanksgiving day. Packed up the car, made sure the cats had food and water, got the dog situated in the car. An hour out of St Louis a deer jumped in front of the car and tore the fender off. 

We decided to turn around and go home. On the way, the dog started to vomit. She has not been doing well lately. After some conversations with relatives we took her to the vet. By that time she could not walk and was breathing with difficulty. I made the decision to put her down. I don't know why we lose pets at the holidays but we always do. The rest of the day was spent drinking to dull the grief.

Missouri Botanical Gardens Christmas Lights.

So only a couple of pictures of the same tree. It was basically the same as last year except they limited the number of people due to COVID and you needed to keep moving.

Ironton MO

 We went back out to Ironton to a Mystery Dinner. It was quite fun. The next day we went to the battlefield museum that was closed by COVID earlier in the year.

Later we went up to the park.
